The Ambition
Oasis Floral stands out as a leading and trusted brand within the floral industry, catering to a wide range of customers, from hobbyists and small businesses to major national retailers. While a website existed for wholesale customers, it struggled to meet the needs of its extensive user base, posing usability and efficiency challenges.
Recognising the necessity for improvement, the team embarked on creating a new website that aligned with the recently updated consumer and florist platforms. The goal was to offer wholesale customers a user-friendly platform where they could seamlessly place and manage orders through their online accounts.

What We Did
Utilising Magento 2, we developed a tailored website specifically catering to the requirements of Oasis Floral's wholesale clientele. This entails incorporating account functionalities, customisable pricing with quantity-based discounts, and real-time stock availability updates. The outcome is a comprehensive eCommerce platform tailored for business-to-business (B2B) transactions, empowering customers with complete control over their accounts and orders.

The website design adheres closely to Oasis Floral's brand guidelines and existing suite of websites, which include its primary florist site and the business-to-consumer (B2C) Home and Hobby site. It effectively highlights the brand's acclaimed product offerings, featuring dedicated sections for seasonal collections. Additionally, the product pages are equipped with options for bulk orders, catering to the ordering preferences of wholesale customers.

Zero disruption website migration and platform upgrade
The previous wholesale website operated on Magento 1. In transitioning to Magento 2 for the development of the new site, we formulated a migration plan informed by our extensive experience handling similar transitions for numerous clients. This plan encompassed migrating products utilising our proprietary product migration and import tools. Additionally, we devised a URL redirection strategy to ensure minimal disruption to SEO performance.

Seamless integration with the stock management system
The website integrates with various systems, primarily E1, Oasis Floral’s stock management system. Originally intended for connecting Oasis Floral’s consumer sites, oasisfloral.co.uk and oasishomeandhobby.co.uk, it now includes the wholesale website.
This integration streamlines inventory and order management, allowing customers to view stock levels and place orders directly into E1 via API integration. Updates on order status are synchronised between the website and E1.
Additionally, a 'notify me' feature alerts customers of restocked items, replacing manual CSV downloads and improving efficiency for the Oasis Floral Team.
