    The Ambition

Abbey House Museum, part of the Leeds Museums and Galleries group, wanted to create a digital representation of their famous indoor recreation of a Victorian street.

    What we did

We created a stylised digital version of the Museum at Abbey House that plays on the Victorian period feel.

The interactive has a parallax style and recreates each of the shops on the famous indoor street. There are illustrations of period characters in the street and each of the shops has further details of items inside including photos, descriptions and interviews from people connected to the shops and their history.

    Innovative

The shops and businesses featured include a pub, a chemist, an ironmonger, a mourning warehouse, a grocer, an art furnisher, a clay pipe maker, a toy and fancy goods shop, a pawnbroker and a newsagent/barber.

    Project In Action

Accessed via a touch screen on site at Abbey House, the interactive has been a great hit with young children of all ages especially those on school trips.
