  • Made by Barbour, Customised by You

Love waxed jackets but want to stand out from the crowd? Always picking up another family members jacket instead of your own? Well now you can customise your jacket to make it yours with Barbour's new MyBarbour personalisation service.

Luxury fashion brand Barbour have been our client since we replatformed their global e-commerce presence, moving it to Magento 2 Enterprise Edition in 2018. Since then we've been working on a wide range of developments to make sure we're continually improving their online customer offering and adding new features. The latest of these is the Barbour customisation service called MyBarbour, initially has been launched across a limited range of Barbour's most famous and iconic products including the Beaufort Men's, Bedale Men's and Beadnell Ladies' Wax jackets.

The new customisation service allows customers to make their Barbour jackets truly their own by choosing combinations of outer wax cotton fabric colour, Inner Lining colour/tartan pattern, drip strip colour, collar colour and monogramming in a range of different fonts. For each jacket style there are currently over 5,600 different combinations before monogramming options so it's unlikely that you'll ever bump into someone wearing exactly the same custom Barbour.

This development has been a custom Magento development that has been designed specifically for Barbour to make sure that their famous wax jackets and the various combinations available always look their best. The customisation service will roll out to more products in the Barbour product range in the future allowing customers to personalise.

With black Friday and the busy Christmas period on the horizon things continue to be very busy in the Barbour production team – keep an eye out for new developments as we continue to roll out their extensive digital strategy.

If you missed the episode of the BBC's Inside the Factory that featured Barbour earlier this year you can still get an insight into the 650 jackets a day that they make at Barbour in this news item.
