Introducing the ‘Membership Area’ feature: A website space to build community, thought leadership and UX engagement.
The ‘Membership Area’ component brings another powerful feature to the Enigma Core technology platform. It allows for a designated space or area of your website that is just for users that join as a member.
Exclusive content for member-only website users
What the exclusive space or content looks like will depend on the nature of the business and its objectives. The exclusive content tends to become the core benefits or main reason why the user would choose to become a member in the first place. This makes it particularly powerful and presents an opportunity for a business to drive real value.
Examples include, premium articles and resources, exclusive events, or a sign-in area to customise a company profile area.
In short having a members area on your website is an effective way to build a community, drive value, build thought leadership, and increase engagement.

Group login access for B2B
An exciting new feature is that our members area now has the functionality to enable a group of people to access exclusive areas of a website within the same account as well as individuals, which is a fantastic addition for b2b organisations.

KEY BENEFITS
It brings value to customers
- Provide a personalised experience: There is the option to tailor your gated content, (if that meets your objectives) based on group or permission level.
- Provide exclusive member-only website content: Sharing premium articles, reports and videos is a really popular way to engage with members. This enables you to add value and enhance your thought leadership status and level of expertise.
It’s good for business
- Build a business community: Having a members base, provides an opportunity to have member-only networking and events.
- Build an opt-in engaged email database: Part of the registration process includes the user providing an email address. This gives you such a great opportunity to gain permission to send them newsletters and email campaigns.
- Increase customer retention: When a user has registered, they are much more likely to return to your website.
- Control what content specific users see: For a b2b organisation, the members areas works particularly well as it allows you to set up an account for your client but also allows for multiple people in an organisation to also log in. In addition, you can set permissions based on a user role.
HOW IT WORKS
From website user to member
Adding the membership area as an extension to a website, allows a user to sign up and become a member via a multi-stage registration form. A user/member can:
- Create a new member account via a website registration form.
- Create a group member account to create a group name (if it’s appropriate that there will be more than one person needing to log in),
- Manage group member accounts. Within the members area a member is able to manage the groups they are a member of. The actions available depend on that member’s role within the Group. This includes editing, managing other members of the Group (assigning roles for example).
Highly configurable and flexible
The members area in Core is flexible, and highly configurable, as a client we’ll work with you to choose the best solution, as there is the choice to have:
- Different membership levels
- Different admin roles and permissions
