  • Our eCommerce Websites Grow 3x Faster

Every year we review the combined performance of our eCommerce clients over the previous 12 months and then compare it with the UK’s average eCommerce sales performance over the same period.

This year the headline figures show that on average Enigma’s eCommerce clients saw sales growth of 33% in 2017 (compared to 2016)*. Over the same time period, the UK average eCommerce sales growth was just 9.4%. That means that our eCommerce clients outperform the UK average by growing more than three times faster.

    Year on Year Growth

What’s even more impressive is that in the three years that we have been making this comparison we have consistently seen year on year growth rates that sit comfortably between 2.5x - 3x the UK’s average.

    • 2016 – 2017 UK average 9.4% vs Enigma 33%
    • 2015 – 2016 UK average 16% vs Enigma 41%
    • 2014 – 2015 UK average 16.2% vs Enigma 56%

We place an extremely high emphasis on the performance of the digital strategies and websites we develop for our clients. In the highly competitive world of eCommerce the bottom line is ultimately how your site performs against the competition and we are delivering proven results.

The reality is that achieving figures like this year on year is only the tip of the iceberg. To achieve such impressive results we take a long term strategic approach and spend time getting a deep and complete understanding of our client’s business. It’s a resource intensive process but it’s worth it for the ROI that it brings.

Whether we are using off the shelf eCommerce platforms like Magento or, for more ambitious projects, completely custom platforms, our focus is always on delivering effectiveness. Being even slightly better across the board and making continuous incremental improvements creates a cumulative effect that adds up to big gains.
