  • NHS Project Wins

We’ve been keeping it under wraps over the last few months, but we are really excited to be able to finally announce a number of new project wins for a range of projects in the NHS.

We have already worked with the NHS for a number of years supporting the NHS North East Leadership Academy with their website and the site of their sister organisation, the NHS Yorkshire and Humber Leadership Academy. You can find out more about that project in our portfolio.

The most recent project wins are with the Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NUTH) which is one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK, offering a wider range of specialist services.

We will be revealing full details in the coming months but one of the projects is a Trust wide project that will look at patient data, their access to it and joining up a number of different and currently disconnected ways in which patients interact with NUTH and its services. This work includes The Great North Care Record, a way of sharing patient information with health and care staff. It covers the 3.6 million people living in the North East and North Cumbria.

Another project is with a specific part of NUTH, their world renowned Cardiopulmonary (heart and/or lung) Transplant Service. Again, this project will look at using digital to serve patients better and provide them with clearer information and better online services. This project is also being run in partnership with another major North East institution, Northumbria University.

These projects have an ambitious vision and could prove transformational to the overall patient experience. We’re delighted that NUTH have chosen Enigma as their digital development agency and also to be working on such exciting and cutting-edge projects that could make a massive difference to patients across the region and potentially across the UK.
