NHS

The National Health Service (NHS) is an organisation unlike any other. Established in 1948 our publicly funded healthcare system is based on the founding principles that its services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery. With an annual budget or £140bn the NHS cares for one million patients every day and employs 1.7 million staff making it the fifth largest employer in the world.

We work with a number of organisations within the NHS including Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NUTH) one of the largest in the UK, offering a wider range of specialist services than any other and the North East Leadership Academy (NELA).
