Prolific North announce top digital agencies 2026

It’s always nice to receive recognition for the work we do and the last few weeks have brought plenty of it!

For the 11th year in a row, Enigma has been named among the North’s top 50 leading agencies in Prolific North’s annual agency rankings.

This year’s ranking brings agencies from across specialisms together into one combined Top 150 list, making it an even broader benchmark of the agency landscape across the North. Having featured consistently in Prolific North’s rankings over the years, it’s great to see Enigma recognised once again alongside some of the region’s best-known agencies.

Rankings only tell part of the story and we’re also pleased to see two of our long-standing collaborations with National Grid Electricity Distribution receiving recognition this awards season, as well as our work being shortlisted in the Cyber North Awards 2026.

Storm Season shortlisted at the Prolific North Tech Awards

Enigma and National Grid Electricity Distribution have been jointly shortlisted at the Prolific North Tech Awards 2026 in the Tech Collaboration of the Year category for our work on a dedicated power cuts website, ensuring that the company can stay effective and available to its customers, even when bad weather brings significant disruption.

The project reflects the strength of our ongoing partnership with National Grid Electricity Distribution and the role technology can play in helping organisations respond effectively when customers need information and support most.

National Grid AI project recognised at the Digital Impact Awards

There’s more good news for our work together, with National Grid Electricity Distribution also shortlisted at the Digital Impact Awards 2026 in both the Best Use of AI and Best Innovation categories.

The nominations recognise their investment into AI-powered customer support, designed to make it quicker and easier for customers to find accurate, relevant information. The project brings together artificial intelligence, digital expertise and a deep understanding of customer needs to deliver genuinely useful technology at scale.

Enigma shortlisted in North East Excellence at the CyberNorth Awards 2026

The recognition doesn’t stop there! Enigma has also been shortlisted for North East Excellence at the CyberNorth Awards, celebrating our work, innovation and contribution to the region’s cyber security community. With the awards recognising organisations helping to strengthen and advance the sector across the North East, it’s fantastic to see the team’s work acknowledged alongside others making an impact across the region.

Being recognised across agency rankings, technology awards and digital innovation categories reflects the kind of work we want Enigma to be known for - long-term, meaningful partnerships, complex digital challenges, and technology that makes a real difference to the people using it.
