What They Say
“Enigma provided excellent consultation services to ensure the scope of the project was clear before we began and provided great insight and advice throughout the process. I’m delighted with the final result, the site not only looks great but is performing well, generating new supporters for the charity and signposting new clients to our services.”
Paul Oliver, Chief Executive, Hospitality and Hope
Hospitality and Hope was established in 2002 to provide homeless and vulnerable people in South Tyneside with food, shelter and a future. The charity needed a website that would showcase its work in the local community, increase its profile and bring in much needed donations and support from volunteers.
What We Did
We provided the charity with a website that clearly expresses their important mission and shows how staff and volunteers work with people in need to make a difference. Importantly, the website shows visitors how they can get involved and help their local community either through volunteering or by making a donation online.
The site has a strikingly colourful yet simple design that is approachable and reflects Hospitality and Hope’s mission. The homepage has a clear focus on showcasing the services that the charity offers including a food bank, soup kitchen, clothes bank, health and wellbeing support and supported housing.
There are also strong calls to action to encourage people to volunteer their time or donate money, food or clothing to support the charity. And of course, the site’s responsive design works as beautifully on mobile devices as it does on wide-screen laptops and desktops.
Content Management System
The site is underpinned with an easy to use Content Management System (CMS) that allows Hospitality and Hope staff and volunteers to manage the charity’s online presence with no technical knowledge. With limited admin resource it is crucial that the site is quick and easy to update for the staff and volunteers.
There’s a social media wall feature that automatically pulls in the latest posts from Hospitality and Hope’s social media accounts so there’s always a feed of the latest news and information about what’s going on.View live project
