EGGER is a global company founded in 1961 in Tyrol, Austria, they specialise in wood-based panel products and are one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chipboards, MDF and laminates. EGGER UK’s marketing team were searching for a way of further promoting their class leading range of structural flooring boards, OSB, Industrial Flooring and Timber for construction projects. As market leaders of flooring products they are well known but the full range of benefits is not fully understood by their complex dealer network ranging from large national chains to independent timber merchants.

They approached us with the idea of creating a website as a fun and informative way of disseminating details of the benefits of their products to their network of resellers. It’s an approach that has been trialled successfully in other areas of the business in other markets.

To achieve their vision EGGER UK’s marketing team came to us because of our work building education websites and eLearning interactives. The aim, build an interactive that uses gamification to help them highlight the features and benefits of their various products and accessories.

The best bit is that once built, EGGER are going run a prize draw competition where, on completion, users can submit their details into a regular draw for one of the company’s famous magnums of beer. Didn’t we mention that EGGER’s headquarters in Austria also has its own brewery?! Not only is EGGER well known for producing wood products they also own one of the largest private breweries in Austria. Every year they produce millions of pints of beer but only some of it makes its way into special magnum bottles which the company use to thank loyal employees and customers.

Needless to say we’re delighted to be working with these guys!
