  • A new digital estate for the North East Combined Authority

We’re thrilled to unveil a new website for the North East Combined Authority, and a new look for the organisation’s suite of project sites, including the North East Evidence Hub, North East Ambition, and the North East Growth Hub.

The North East Combined Authority was established at midnight on 7 May 2024, after the election of the North East’s first Mayor on 3 May 2024. Many congratulations to Kim McGuinness on her election win!

The North East Combined Authority covers County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside, and Sunderland. This historic devolution deal heralds more funding and local decision-making powers for our region.
Since January, our team has been hard at work with the groups who are now part of the Combined Authority. We’ve helped them to audit, edit, and migrate content from four websites into one, build a brand-new digital design system, and put their new brand into action. We’ve spent the last few weeks helping them prepare for the election and their big site launch - huge thanks to our team who worked over the bank holiday weekend, and were on hand at midnight on the 7th to hit the publish button!

We’ll be working with the Combined Authority over the next few months to evolve their digital estate and online content, and we’re proud to be leading on a project with such historical importance to the region.
