One North East
One NorthEast is the regional development agency for the North East of England and the purpose of their website is to promote the region as a good place to do business and to highlight the support they offer inward investors, indigenous businesses and the community.
The site is very large so ease of navigation was an important factor in its design. Consistent menu structures, a search facility, a quick index and a site map have all been implemented to help users quickly locate the information they are looking for.
The site also features an interactive property search, latest news, downloadable reports and knowledge exchange areas (shared online 'communities' that allow users to exchange views and information on topics that interest them - click for more info) all backed by a user-friendly content management system that allows One NorthEast to update and maintain these aspects of the site in-house.
