EMI's PLAY Production Music Finder is rapidly becoming a world standard for the delivery of production music to the film, broadcast and advertising industries. Enigma’s involvement in this project has seen us working with companies around the globe including Germany, France and the USA.
PLAY is licensed by music libraries the world over who use the core engine to drive their own branded version of the system. Because of this international scope, the site has been developed with multi-language capabilities.
The PLAY music project began life in 1997 as a CD-Rom application and has evolved continuously. Today, PLAY is produced in both CD-Rom and Internet-based versions. The Online Music Finder boasts a collection of well over 100,000 full-length tracks, each of which is available to download from the web at broadcast quality. Advanced and intuitive search facilities help clients find the piece of music they want quickly and easily from within this vast collection. Real-time auditioning of music and the ability for users to customise their experience by (for example) saving groups of favourite tracks make this process efficient and enjoyable. The Music Finder CD-Rom features almost 7000 clips of music and links directly to the online system to download full-length, broadcast quality versions.
The Music Finder system has been so well received by KPM's customers worldwide (BBC, ITV, NBC and so on) that it is becoming an established standard for the online delivery of music and is recognised as a comprehensive and definitive online resource.
