Online Media Search / Delivery Website:
This powerful website will allow customers to search and browse through the collection by category, theme, style, description, keyword. They will be able to preview / audition items of interest and (where appropriate) proceed to download commercial quality versions. If required, an e-commerce or online licence module can also be included. The website utilises a highly intuitive user-interface which makes searching a quick and enjoyable process. Powerful features such as instant previewing, collections, related items and an optional project / shortlist tool enhance the experience and increase the likelihood of customers finding the ideal match for their needs.
User Management System:
Not all collections should be freely available to the general public, so the Better system includes an optional User Management module which enables you to restrict access to all or part of the site to only those users you have granted permission to. Alternatively, access to certain features (e.g. download) can be limited to just approved users.
Online Media Management Tool:
This module puts you in control of your catalogue. A powerful online application allows you to:
- upload and auto-format source material (including optional data harvesting, preview versioning and watermarking)
- attach titles, descriptions, references and other meta data
- apply hierarchical categorisation (e.g. themes, styles, genres)
- instantly update the material available on your site (media can be marked as 'live', 'work in progress' or 'archive')
Offline Media Search / Delivery Solution - Portable Hard drive / DVD / CD-Rom
A version of Better's powerful search and delivery system can also be provided to customers via offline media such as portable hard drive or (for smaller collections) memory sticks, DVDs or CD-Roms. The system is PC and Mac compatible and runs without installation making it usable on systems such as AVID and machines connected to fire-walled networks. The Media Management Tool includes a facility to provide updates via DVD or other suitable formats.
Sub-Publisher Management
For Catalogues with an international presence, the Sub-Publisher Manager allows you to provide your sub-publishers with their own variation of the Better Media Search / Delivery system.
Sub-publisher manager allows catalogue information to be shared and centrally administered, while management of the customers is automatically delegated to the most appropriate local representative.
Customisation
The Better system can be completely customised to suit your specific needs. This can include anything from the inclusion of your branding to integration with your existing IT systems.
