Women Into the Network (WIN) is one of the leading women’s business networking initiatives based in the North East of England, UK. WIN uses networking to breakdown the barriers that stand in the way of women's success in business; factors such as lack of confidence, opportunities, advice and support. WIN’s objectives are to help women develop confidence and begin to believe in themselves as business people, thus realising their potential to achieve.

The WIN website provides women with a range of useful resources and interesting research all aimed at supporting women in business. Features include:

• Networking events for women – a calendar of popular networking events based in the UK.
• Online directory of women in business – online networking tool which aims to put members in touch with like-minded people and help them gain important contacts, customers and suppliers.
• Advice & business support for women – up to date information and signposting to helpful & appropriate organisations
• Inspirational role models – motivates members through the success stories of other women in business.
• Newsletters, ezines & publications – relevant news & stories, updates on national women’s events and international women’s organisations delivered direct to members via the website and email.

The website is driven and updated by a powerful back office application, based on Enigma’s Trinity CMS Engine. Tools of note include:

• Registration system – users apply for membership online, via a user friendly wizard-style form. Applications are reviewed by the WIN administrator and, once approved, users receive instant access to a wealth of member-only information plus a free listing on the Online Directory.
• Workflow system for member submissions – allowing members to submit their own articles, profiles and links for inclusion on the website. Once approved, member content is automatically published to the site
• Online event management and booking – provides a simple interface via which both members and non-members can book their place on WIN events. The WIN administrator can then create sign-in lists, export to document-merging software for attendee badges and publish attendees lists to the website
• Member Management – filtering and sorting tools facilitate segmentation of membership and provide means to email selected sets of members, based on user profiles.
