The Baltic

As part of a collaboration with the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art and Gilsgate School, Enigma were approached to help conceptualised a final year project.
The projects main aim, determined by the students themselves, was to produce a reusable resource that would appeal and enthuse the Baltic’s younger visitors while providing educational information about art at the same time.
Through various design sessions with Enigma and the Baltic, Gilsgate students decided the final solution should include various pieces of work created and developed by themselves through the Baltic’s Learning initiative. All of these aspects should be presented to the user in a "game" that could be reused by students following in their footsteps.
The interactive game, named Lambdragon after one of the students creations, allows users to start a quest through key levels in the Baltic gallery answering questions on fact based video clips and interviews with Baltic featured artists. Answering several questions correctly on each level reveals representations of artwork created by the students allowing you to get one step closer to capturing a glimpse of the illusive Lambdragon.
Why not try to complete the quest yourself and see if you can find Lambdragon…
