GlaxoSmithKline

Enigma has a longstanding relationship with GlaxoSmithKline and has created a number of online learning tools on their behalf. These have included Active Science, Body Builder and At work with Science.
Active Science

Active Science is a sophisticated online science education website featuring interactive games, virtual experiments, downloadable resources and investigative mini-websites.
Designed exclusively for Glaxo by Enigma the site has something for everyone - from age 5 years upwards, including parents and teachers. All modules are based on educational recommendations from various sources and therefore have intrinsic educational value. Links to the National Curriculum for England and Wales are provided throughout the site.
For younger children, activities are based on games to help them learn about 'Humans and Animals'. For both questions and feedback, the text is presented in simple form and can also be heard. For older children, the games are more challenging and are supported by downloadable databases for independent study. Worksheets and information for parents and teachers complete the picture to provide an innovative, engaging and memorable online learning experience for teachers, parents and children alike.
Body Builder

Body Builder allows students to test their knowledge of the human body. Developed as a new module of the Active Science website, there are three sections to the Body Builder module.
The User has the option to choose either male of female and can then choose to either investigate the major internal organs or the key bone structures of the skeleton. Whichever is chosen, through the fade control, the other is available to superimpose over the body to show how they relate.
A zoom facility allows the body to be magnified for a closer examination of the body parts and how they relate in position to each other. An exciting feature of the body display is that it can be rotated at will, to the left or the right, so that the true relationship of the body parts can be seen from any angle. All these examination controls are available through the control panel.
At Work With Science

At Work with Science presents work-related learning in the context of how science is used in the pharmaceutical industry. The various modules range from job application skills, to team working and enterprise activities together with a virtual visit to a chemical plant.
The web site is mainly aimed at teachers and students at Key Stage 4 and in post-16 education and is specifically designed to support applied science courses and parts of the statutory work-related learning framework introduced in September 2004.
"In all of our interactions over the last four years I have found Enigma Interactive to be innovative, highly professional, extremely effective and overall, a great team to work with."
