ABPI

The ABPI is developed and supported by the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry. The Resources for Schools website, provides an invaluable link between science topics studied in school and their applications in industry and research.

As part of the rework for two of the science areas aimed at 14-16 year olds, Enigma were engaged by ABPI to update and re-energise the 'Hormones and their effects' and 'Skin structure and function' sections. To revive the old restrictive layout, Enigma produced several new pages that not only fitted in with the existing structure and top navigation but also enhanced the educational content through a full face lift, complex animations and interactive quizzes.

Being responsible for the new copy, animations, imagery, quizzes and overall page design, our educational experts were able to lift the new pages to exceed the National Curriculum requirements and improve the user’s learning experience. To complete the refresh, our software engineers were able to understand the existing code base and enhance the code to improve the certain functionality such as the glossary roll rovers.

The end result is a fresh engaging page design that has proven to be a hit with young people and provides ABPI much more flexibility when designing the layout of any future pages.
