Reindeer tipping season offically closed
Remember back to those days before Christmas when we forwarded you a link to Enigma's special festive game and offered you a prize if you could get top score?
Well, as the Reindeer Tipping Season draws to a close, and we're all back to work, the time has come to announce who was the highest placed Enigma Client.
Somewhat controversially, this accolade goes to "Jack M (aged 11)" who achieved a score of 2577 and finished an impressive 11th on the leader board.
Now, we've checked our books and we're fairly sure that we don't actually have any 11 year old clients. However - for those who would want to deny Jack his prize, ask yourself this question - don't you just wish you'd thought about getting your offspring, young relations etc. to play the game on your behalf?!
Given his age, we've decided to replace the planned prize of a Caribbean mini cruise, with a fabulous set of homework books. We hope you enjoy them Jack!
As for the rest of you grown up Reindeer Tippers - you should be ashamed of yourselves! - being beaten by an 11 year old indeed!
Special thanks should also go to all those who forwarded the game on to friends and family - you've helped contribute to our own mini worldwide phenomenon!
By the 3rd Jan, Reindeer Tipping had been played more than ¼ million times by players spread across 130 countries - that equates to around 5million actual reindeers tipped and an awful lot of misspent time!!
All that remains is to thank everyone who took part and wish you all a very happy (and productive) New Year!

It never Reindeers but it pours!
Your might have heard about our Reindeer Tipping game by now? We’d be surprised if you hadn’t; its been mentioned on Fox News and ABC, reached No 2 on the Lycos top viral games and played worldwide from New Zealand to Canada and Greenland (maybe it was Santa himself!)
At its peak, Reindeer Tipping was being played in over 100 countries averaging more than 1 game per second with over 100,000 games viewed in the last 3 working days to Christmas. That’s over 1 million reindeers tipped, per day!
We are happy to say they all got up safe and sound and will be fit for Christmas Eve.

Enigma Eco Challenged
Enigma is delighted to announce its appointment by Design of the Times (Dott07) to develop its Schools Eco Design Challenge - a web-based Flash carbon and ecological footprint calculator for Year 8 students
The ECO Design Challenge is open to all Year 8 students in the North East of England and its objective is to introduce the concept of sustainable design - changing the way we want to live by design. The challenge will be designed to engage Year 8 students in a fun and friendly manner, and to help them calculate the carbon and ecological footprint of their school during a 24 hour period.
In undertaking the challenge, students will be asked to think about how much water they use, how they deal with waste, where their food in the canteen comes from and how they use energy. Ultimately, students will be asked to redesign some aspect of their school making it more sustainable, with less impact on the environment and the planet’s natural resources.
