News: Enigma embarks on pan-European project
Published: 08 July 2011
Enigma are pleased to report that we are currently working on a pan-European interactive education project.

The EU-funded project, named SMILEY – Social Mindedness in the Learning Community, is due to be rolled out in secondary schools across Europe in early 2012. Project SMILEY forms part of the EU’s Lifelong Learning Programme.
The primary aim of the SMILEY project is to allow both teachers and students to tackle anti-social behaviour such as bullying, racism, vandalism and intolerance. The program will take the form of an online ERPG (Educational Role Playing Game) which Enigma are designing and developing.
Enigma are the technical lead on this project, working in close collaboration with companies and educational establishments across Europe. Partner companies involved include: PMF based in Italy (part of the JO Group); 4Systems based in Poland and Kocaeli based in Turkey. The project also involves working closely with the University of Catania in Italy along with schools and colleges across Europe.
As the project evolves and is rolled out across Europe, the aim will be to engage as many schools as possible in this exciting new project.
Enigma were approached to be technical lead on this project based on our experience of designing and developing engaging interactive education projects for clients such as ABPI, Basic Skills Agency, Glaxo Smith Kline, RSPCA and The OU.
