News: CE Electric Online Shrouding goes Live!

Published: 15 September 2011

We’re pleased to announce the launch of yet another exciting online service for those live wires over at CE Electric!  This month saw the launch of CE Electric's online shrouding booking service, designed specifically to simplify an existing customer service.

 So what’s shrouding?

If people are planning to carry out work near any of CE’s overhead power lines connected to a property, CE will make sure they are able to work safely by placing temporary protective covering (also known as shrouding) over the powerlines. Shrouding involves covering the power lines with a material that electricity can not pass through.

CE Electric Shrouding Goes Live

Previously, anyone working on single or multiple properties within the North East, Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire would give CE Electric a call and arrange for someone to come out and carry out shrouding.

As part of their massive customer and stakeholder engagement strategy, CE decided to make this process simpler and offer customers the opportunity to book this service online.

Customers can now follow a user-friendly online process to do this, allowing them to book shrouding for single or multiple properties using an online booking form and even check on or cancel a job.

And we’ve made the process really easy for CE and their contractors too – cos we’re really switched on like that! Bespoke workflow allows them to follow up on and manage these bookings in the back end.

Enigma have been working with CE Electric since 2002 - to find out more about our work with them click here.
