News: Enigma feature alongside North's Top 200 Businesses

Today Enigma were featured in editorial in The Journal's much revered Top 200 Business supplement and were invited to attend the prestigious awards ceremony - celebrating the North East's top performing companies. (Exciting stuff eh?)

Enigma were featured on page 26 of today’s special edition, in an editorial entitled ‘UK Looks North for Digital Talent.’  Describing a nationwide shift, with a vast amount of the UK's digital talent now being based in the North East and many of the UK’s leading companies (and even worldwide) turning to digital agencies based within the region, like Enigma.

“When record label EMI wanted to revamp UK production music search, Enigma’s creative approach impressed them. The resulting online music search and download system, PLAY Production Music, was so successful that EMI decided to take advantage of its capabilities globally, asking Enigma to expand the system. It’s now used worldwide in over 50 countries.” 

The article then goes on to look at why such big name clients are looking North, citing some of the results we have had with the EMI system.

“Since launch, the music finder produced for EMI has grown into the most successful online music search and download system of its type, worldwide. Over 1.5million pieces of music are auditioned or downloaded from the system each month, with licences generated worth an estimated £10-20 million annually. Such results certainly explain why EMI continue to return to the Newcastle Quayside based agency.”

And concludes with the following quote:

"You no longer need look to London - we've some of the UK’s finest digital and creative talent on our doorstep. It’s a fantastic resource and has huge potential to add value to the North East’s most iconic companies."
