Great North Air Ambulance

The Great North Air Ambulance service (GNAAS) provide air ambulance services across the North-East, Cumbria and North Yorkshire. They rescue rescuing hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year, bringing advanced pre-hospital care to patients. They are an independent charity that is not NHS-funded and entirely relies on funding from charitable donations. Their aircraft are based at Langwathby, Urlay Nook, Eaglescliffe and Newcastle International Airport and deliver an expert team including a specialist pre-hospital doctor and a paramedic at speeds of up to 190mph.
